Well, I have a question. I have never done the HFFF myself but was thinking about trying it soon. (After getting the other titles). So, how do these macros work? I don't have a fancy keyboard, just the plain standard keyboard that comes with most PCs. Can i use macros or is that only possible with that one particular keyboard?

4. Go to "Assign Keystroke"
5. Push the button that you have (I think) "Command Hero 1" bound to and click "Okay".

And macros are fine to use so long as it requires you to be sitting in front of your computer. If it's automated enough that you can go to sleep and it'll still keep doing it, that's when they start to not like it. There was a post about it somewhere on these forums I'm sure.

There's also a mod that you can run throught TexMod that'll put spots on the map so you know exactly where to flag your heroes.

Hope this helps!
I think he's asking if there is a way to use a macro through his G15 to actually place the flags on the U map. I don't think that there is.

The Logitech G11/15 have "G" keys along the left side of the keyboard and software that allows you to assign a series of keystrokes to the G keys. I'm sure there is shareware macro software out there that does not require a special keyboard.

LOL, I typed HFFF macros into google to see what I could find. The first 2 links were for cheat sites with bots and the 3rd was this thread.

This thread was created about 3 hours ago. WOW! Those google trawlers work fast.

why risk it?
trust me, ive almost lost my account once and i was innocent. Why do you wanan bot it anyway, what would be the point in the title if you max it that way. would you really feel proud of yourself, if vanities the case and showing off then if people congratulate you, you would just put yourself down knowing you didnt achieve it

for the sake of learning something about my computer does anyone know if i could make little macros on my bluetooth media dell keyboard, pm me

Dangerous, dangerous.

I started doing HFFF manually, with texmod for easier flagging.
I stopped when I started to think how easy it would to be to program it.
I don't want to risk getting banned for automating this.

Damn Anet for linking (some good) skills to a tittle that is so grinding to get and that could be so easilly botted.

It's as if they are taunting me to bot it and get banned.

So I decided I'd be better off not getting the tittle at all.

For me, I find that the F1-F4 keys allow for easy access. But by all means, you can use number keys or something more comfortable for you.

My order is zone out, [U] map, F1 (Hero 1 location), F2 (Hero 2), F3 (Hero 3), and F4 (since the heroes are already flagged, only the henchmen will be flagged). All of this takes less than 2 seconds to do. I'll include screen shots if necessary later on.
Ok, so correct me if I'm wrong, using the assigned key (F8) for example, only 'clicks' the flag for you so to speak? Or by pressing the key, it automatically flags the hero to the predetermined location on the mini-map, done and done? Just trying to clarify, for my own benefit, exactly what the assigning of shortcut keys does for you here.

My friend botted it, he told me about it, it sounded awesome (As he made about a mill in a week) He told me they couldnt trace it because he did it over 1 hour time (he manually filled up 10k, warped out, dumped it, wapred back, then let the program reset). I was starting to get tempted to do it as it was money and a title for free. After 8 days I got a text message: "Permabanned, dont bot."

RIP Rob, RIP

The benefit is that all the heroes/henchies can all be moving at once. If you don't use hotkeys and do the conventional way of clicking on the flags under the compass, opening the [U] map and dropping a flag, hero 1 will be several steps ahead of hero 2, hero 2 will be ahead of hero 3 when you finally click the flag and drop it on the map. Also if your using [Charge] and using the click under compass method, by the time you get to hero 3, the shout will most likely be ending and you will have to waste one of the hero's running skills. Using the hotkey method, by the time charge ends, you hit [Dash] on all heroes and they should be out of range (meaning they grey out on the party window). I'd show you a run but I just got off work and I'm tired.

the only hero that needs running skills is the stair runner. since the stairs are the furthest away, by the time the stair runner runs there (even with a 25% speed boost), all the other heroes and henchmen will have already reached their destination with time to spare. you should get times of <1 minute, not including mapping to lutgardis and zoning out to melandru's hope.

Yeah, go ahead and download those bots guys. Just don't come posting here crying because you either got hacked because of the trojans you actually downloaded, or because you were permabanned.

Either farm it, or don't do it.

There was a time when faction was at a 1:1 ratio, not the double point award that you have now, and when HFFF didn't exist, but just FastFactionFarm lf doorman. People under these circumstances achieved Savior of Kurzicks. So, you would like to know if shortcuts are okay? Of course shortcuts are okay, in this case, your shortcut is called HFFF, anything more than that is clearly a lame crying attempt to have things done easier for you.

Macro s are bad in any game imo, a big grey area. Wich doesnt get adressed because they dont want to loose out on merchandicing, dont wanna piss off logitech now do we, wich is logical. Get responces like, there fround upon, from multiple companies(same answer)

Did a lot of research into fps macros/cheats, in fps to compeet on a highlevel your almost forced to have em. To me its borderline cheating, you ll be amazed what scripters do with macro s/keybinds, with all due respect.

I was suprised to find so few macros in GW, until now. I think anet(and all other gamecompanies) should ban or allow them, no exeptions. Every new game board/joystick/pad/mouse has keybinds or macro s,also you can use sofware like autohotkey to install macro s on your standard keyboard. Time to take a stand........allow em or not, its still third party software.

I tryed talking to guys in lugardis, i finally got a reponsce, asking what everyone was doing there. I got a answer but the minute i said the word bot/macro, he went offline. And a macro can be a bot, not much diffrence, just need good scripters who know what there doing.

Sry for the rant, really got to me at the time.........all better now

My microsoft Sidewinder mouse has the ability to record timed macros that involve mouse movement, keyboard activity, and mouse clicking.

I could program a macro that at a press of mouse button 4, would open the minimap, flag each hero to where they need, micromanage them all, and complete the quest and rezone me. Put that on infinite loop. Is that a bot?

The line has to be drawn somewhere. But where or where shall we draw it?

Gaile has said macro's that are made with your Mouse or Keyboard are less of a worry to Anet than external programs.

The Intellipoint 6.2 software is an external program, and a powerful one at that. Again, the line in the sand keeps getting washed away by the waves, and we keep redrawing it to avoid the rising tide.

Seeing as I was once banned for 'behavior that appeared automated', I'd hasten to agree with those who warn against macros. Just to be safe.

The ban stick is is a creature of seemingly nervous temperament.

Actually, as of late, the ban stick is a creature infected with Rabies that is pouncing on anything that moves, drooling all over it while ripping hunks of flesh and muscle off its poor body, scarring it for life. Aren't metaphors fuN!?

Glad you asked. I replaced my Logitech G9 with it because the G9 was rather petite, and I have huge hands. I warn you, if you have small to medium hands, the Sidewinder might be a bit large for you. It is the largest mouse I have ever used, but with my huge hands (I can palm a full size men's Basketball) it is comfy.

Here is a link to the Sidewinder. I gotta tell you, my favorite mouse I have ever used. Not only does it function extremely well, but it looks damn cool to boot.
